Munky to Release Solo Album
Saturday, 29 December, 2007 07:10 GMT
KoRn's last guitarist, James 'Munky' Schaffer plans on recording and releasing his very own solo album. Jonathan Davis also plans to do the same. During the Bitch We Have A Problem Tour, Munky was on a phone interveiw with Sunday Night Music. Munky said that he would be recording in the studio for a solo project after the tour.
"I'm going into the studio to record my own record," Shaffer said. "I got my own label - it's the perfect opportunity to release my own record on my own label and hopefully get some money back into the account, because it takes a lot of money to develop bands. Hopefully it'll replenish the account so that I can keep signing bands and developing new artists."
Munky has recently started his own Emotion Syphon Recordings label, with bands Droid and Monster in the Machine signed on to it. Munky also said that he had spoken to David Silveira not too long ago. "He's such a great drummer - one of the best in the world - and when I turn around and he's not there, that's the most difficult. I talked to David a few weeks ago now. You know, when you're on the road you lose track of time, but Brian I haven't spoke to at all ever since he left."
